Diana Ahn has graduated with a Master's in Fine Arts and Advanced Certificate in Art Education at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at School of Visual Arts, New York.

As a practicing artist and art educator, she continually considers the ways these two roles inform and enrich one another. Her experiences working with children shape her studio practice, while making art deepens her understanding of teaching, creating an ongoing process of observation, reflection, learning, and discovery.

Her work spans a wide range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, drawing, and collage. Working across these forms allows her to explore ideas through different materials, processes, and ways of making. In her collage work, she uses tactile materials—book pages, magazine clippings, and textured papers—which she layers and transforms to recreate and reinterpret passages from biblical history. These collages exist simultaneously as paintings, building landscapes of water, rivers, land,  and often, gestural forms that suggest the presence of human figures. Through the physical act of cutting, layering, and reassembling, she engages with memory as both a personal and collective experience.

The resulting works function as visual records of remembrance, while resisting a fixed interpretation. Fragments of text, image, and material are brought together to suggest histories that are remembered, imagined, and continually reinterpreted. Her work invites viewers into this space between memory and reconstruction, where the past remains present yet open to new meaning. Her new series of work will be posted soon.
